Gaps and rough journeys

Location points are estimates

Inside buildings, with poor reception or long request intervals, journeys may be rough. The app can misclassify movements and pauses. Review entries and delete incorrect detections when needed.

If nothing is recorded

Check the tracking switch, location permissions, background access and Wi-Fi pause. Also check whether Android’s power management restricts the app.

Use GPS when needed

“Use GPS” can allow extra GPS requests when network location accuracy is low. This may improve estimates while using more power. It does not guarantee a continuous recording.

Maps and place names

Maps and address lookup can use network services. Location recording should not be taken as a promise that every feature works completely offline.
