Set up Gazania
Before you start
You need music files on your Android device and an XML export of your iTunes or Apple Music library. Gazania does not transfer music or download streaming tracks.
1. Prepare your XML library
If iTunes offers “Share iTunes Library XML with other applications”, enable it in Advanced Preferences. Alternatively export your library through the File menu. In Apple Music, use “File → Library → Export Library”. Name the export iTunes Music Library.xml and export it again after changing the library.
2. Copy music and XML to your phone
Copy the XML and its music files by USB or with your sync tool. Keeping the library’s folder layout is the simplest setup. Streaming-only tracks need to be available as accessible audio files first.
3. Choose the file and allow access
Allow Gazania to access audio files. Open “Select iTunes Library xml file” and choose the copied XML in Android’s file picker. You may need to select it again if you move it or replace it with another file.
4. Create your playlists
Select your playlists, start processing and check the log. Then open a music player that displays Android system playlists. Refresh its library if necessary.
Gazania+ can repeat processing in the background. Android also controls when these jobs run; a selected interval is not an exact appointment.
