Understand the settings
Match your tracks
“Matching Precision” controls how an XML track is matched to an audio file. Use the file path if you copied the library’s folder layout. For differently organised files, try Artist/Album/Title or Artist/Album/Title/Size. Duplicate titles and differing metadata can make these matches ambiguous.
Scan missing tracks
“Scan Missing Tracks” requests a media scan for files that exist but have not yet been registered. It does not copy or download files. Scanning many new files may take time.
Clean orphan media entries
“Cleanup Orphan Tracks” removes stale Android media-library references when the associated file in the affected music folder no longer exists. It does not delete audio files.
Playlist names and updates
“Rename Duplicate Playlists” adds a suffix to duplicate names, such as “Jazz (2)”. Without renaming, playlists with identical names may overwrite one another. Processing updates playlists managed by Gazania; empty or removed managed playlists may be deleted.
Background processing in Gazania+
Enable scheduled processing after manual processing works. “Run After Media Scan” can reprocess after a media scan. The selected frequency and Android’s power-saving settings affect background runs.
