Gaps and rough journeys
Location points are estimates
The diary samples locations at intervals. It cannot reconstruct every turn or missing minute. Inside buildings and with poor reception, routes get rougher and the app can mistake movement for a stop or the other way round. Missing stretches stay visible as a location gap instead of adding invented distance.
If an outing is missing
Check that recording is on, precise location is allowed and location is enabled on the phone. If recording has a problem, the diary shows a notice. Very short walks can stay inside the stationary radius. Also check whether Android’s power saving restricts the app.
If routes are too rough
Choose “Balanced” or “Precise” under “Location accuracy on the move”. With Lazy Moves Plus, the “Detailed” route detail level also saves more route points while moving. Both use more battery and do not guarantee a continuous recording.
If stops look wrong
Under “Advanced settings”, adjust the stationary radius and stop duration. Stops shorter than the stop duration stay part of the outing, for example a traffic light or a quick shop visit. With “Short stops on Wi-Fi”, a stop of at least two minutes on a Wi-Fi network that may pause recording still counts as a stop.
Maps and addresses
The simple route outline is drawn on your phone. OpenStreetMap street maps and start and destination address lookup are optional, off by default and need an internet connection.
