Gazania privacy policy

Updated 3 October 2026. This policy covers Gazania for iTunes Playlists and Gazania+ for iTunes Playlists, published by Tearoom One (tearoom.one). It does not cover Gasamba, which connects to network shares.

Data used on your device

Gazania reads the iTunes library XML file you choose and audio metadata from your device to match tracks and create playlists. Library metadata can include track titles, artists, albums, file locations, ratings, play counts, and playlist contents. Gazania+ can repeat this processing in the background when you enable that feature.

The app stores settings, your selected file reference, playlist selections, and processing logs locally. Logs may contain library metadata and file locations. Generated playlists are stored in Android’s media library.

Collection and sharing

These apps do not send your library, audio files, settings, or processing logs to tearoom.one or to an analytics or advertising service. They contain no advertising or analytics SDK. You do not need an app account.

Android backup may include local app data if you enable backup on your device. This is controlled by your device and backup provider. Google Play and Android may process their own installation, diagnostic, or account data under their respective policies.

Your choices and retention

You choose the XML file and can change that selection in the app. You can revoke audio and file access through Android settings. You can turn off Gazania+’s background processing in the app settings.

Local settings and logs remain until you clear the app’s storage or uninstall it. Playlists created in Android’s media library may remain after uninstalling; remove them through your music app or the app’s playlist controls. Backup copies follow your backup provider’s retention settings.
