Set up Gasamba

Prepare

You need a computer with locally stored music, an XML library and an SMB share for the music folder. Your phone and computer must be able to reach each other over the network.

Prepare the library

Export the entire library from iTunes or Apple Music as iTunes Music Library.xml. Place it in the shared library folder. Its music files must be inside that folder too. Export again after making changes.

Connect the share

Open “Setup” in Gasamba. Scan for your computer or enter its name or IP address. Add the share name, username and password, then use “Verify connection”.

Choose a destination and sync

Choose an empty destination folder with enough space. Select your playlists and start synchronisation. Check the log, then open a player that supports Android system playlists.
