Current workflow

Gasamba writes UTF-8 M3U files in #M3U#Playlists# inside the selected destination folder. It preserves the XML order. Open these files in an M3U-compatible player. It does not create native Android playlist records in this workflow.

Sync and cleanup

Sync validates the configured library, downloads missing or incomplete selected music, indexes audio and writes M3U files. Repeat sync checks the destination again. Automatic cleanup only removes files recorded as successfully downloaded by Gasamba that are no longer selected; manually copied files are not automatically claimed as owned.

The separate Cleanup Audio Files controls can remove more data from the dedicated destination after confirmation. Gasamba never deletes the originals on the SMB server.

Scheduled sync

Gasamba+ can schedule sync when enabled. Android controls the timing according to network availability, battery settings and background limits. The minimum interval is 15 minutes.

Smart playlists

Sorting and splitting tags apply to the generated M3U files. See the Gazania smart-playlist reference for tag syntax. Test with a small playlist before syncing a large collection.
